When I did mine I took the control arms to a local front end shop and they took the old bushings out and installed the new ones for $20 an arm. Do you guys think this is a reasonable price? Or, keep coming back because "that awful squeaking started up again after 2 weeks!!! " 2 hours to replace the left upper. Towing the boat, I think the shake from the truck transfers to the boat trailer somehow because it shakes too. Went to a reputable shop. Whats a fair price for just the ball joints and bushings? It has only been 6 months since I did the front end; not long enough to tell how long the job will hold up. I took the truck to Toyota yesterday and had them look at it. I'd recommend adding up the parts at Van Cafe so you'll have a baseline to compare to quotes, some markup is proper but worth seeing for yourself and some shops will install parts you bring in. At the LEAST I know that I need to get my ball joints, tie rods, and Idler arm replaced... Somehow the '63 lowering springs have been lost. The most suspension work I had done in the past was a strut/spring assembly in a lexus es300. Other than that i was good, besides the alignment. Enough to where I can see the headache rack shaking on the bed in the mirror and I feel like my whole body is using the shake weight.
