Until just recently, Norm would be graveside at military funerals, honoring our service men and women. Paul E. Snyder November 29, 1926 ~ May 2, 2021 (age 94). She graduated from Linn Grove High School on May 10, 1944 and on May 24, 1944 she married Aloysius Joseph Graff at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sioux Rapids, IA. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Monday January 29th and will continue at the church for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. She had a pleasant personality that was contagious to everyone she met. She loved holding the babies, cooking, gardening, growing flowers, and watching the birds out her patio. Vernice Ilene (Simonson) Stier January 31, 1925 ~ July 10, 2020 (age 95). She was joined in marriage to Donald Olson on June 20, 1953 at St. Patrick's Church, and from this marriage they had four sons- Robert, William, James, and Thomas and one daughter, Nancy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Nicholas in April 1999 and a sister Connie Jones. Sheldon Dale Churchill was born April 29, 1924 in Spring Valley, MN to Dale and Iva (Dornink) Churchill. He went on to serve as Minnesota VFW State Commander. Following graduation she was employed by First State Bank in Spring Valley as head teller for seven and a half years. Together they farmed over 1100 acres, milked around 60 cows and raised numerous chickens over the years.
A Celebration of Life will held in the church basement following her burial. She loved spending time with her family, going to church, working out, and doing crossword puzzles. As a cancer survivor, she devoted a lot of her time volunteering within the community and beyond.
