Lime Crime Venus 2 Looks Weirdly Like
Both palettes are radically different. The original featured more renaissance shades of earthy browns and bold rusts, whereas the Venus 2 has a mix of quite a number of different shades. Venus 2 is more bold and 'out there', and great for creating looks that stand out. Again, it's very neutral and everyday but the touch of sparkle created by putting Eve all over the lid is what makes this look. What also stands out is the fact that this is a predominantly cool to neutral palette. Ingredients: Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Zinc Stearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Isopentyldiol, Silica. It does come on smooth and creamy, just wish it had more oomph with its color transfer. And after the purchase of the first Venus eyeshadow palette I used to question if I really needed the second palette and once finally dared to give it a go too. Lime Crime Venus 1 or 2? Fly - like the wing of the fly shade. Where I for instance count the ABH Subculture as one of my top 15 all-time favorite eyeshadow palettes, this particular palette would also join that list, yet many people disliked this when it was released. Probably my least favorite from the lot, but still wearable when paired with another shade (think white, shimmery golds, or even a hint of smokey brown).

MUSTARD: What a gorgeous, unusual shade! Overall: I really do enjoy this palette and find it surprisingly versatile. It is recommended to build up and foil the shimmers to make sure they reach full intensity on the lid. Wear it alone or rise for a glamor worthy of a goddess (with a hint of grunge) to use: Apply a brush or fingertip - wear one or two to give the elegant elegance or top layer an attractive look to give a smoky look to the eye. I am a sucker for great packaging, and love the pop-art take on the renaissance inspired Venus. FLY: A very buttery, smooth pale yellow with specks of gold. It flatters any makeup look, I think. Hair Brunette, Wavy, Coarse. It's a nicely pigmented matte shade that look sumptuous if worn with the Mustard together. This particular palette retails for €60 depending on where you buy it. A few of Lime Crime's shimmer shades were much more pigmented than UCANBE's. The palette isn't very deep: the deepest shade here is Classical, but as you will see below that is not the perfect shade for deepening up all the looks.

As you probably remember, Lime Crime's first Venus palette was basically my soul in eye shadow form. Obscure - Soft neon green sheer iridescent. I used the Too Faced Born This Way concealer without powder as an eye primer and feel that the colors definitely perform better over that than on their own for the best color payoff.
