Drive down old Penniman Road just south of Williamsburg and you'll soon find yourself in what looks like a bygone era. Produced by Mayfield and brimming with that smooth funk he had put to good use on his solo efforts, 'Preacher Man' was also the most overtly socially conscientious outing released by The Impressions since Curtis' departure.

Near the ten minute mark, the jam returns to its flute dominated roots, and ends on a dreamy, slowly fading note that reasonates with gloom. The anti-drugs sermon "Too High" is so realistic, you can almost see the drugged out girl watching cartoon monsters on her TV screen, strung out on a worn-out couch in a cheap, flea-ridden inner city apartment, puffing and snorting everyday life away. 'We'll Get Over' is one of the strongest, in my opinion.
That could give them a level of midfield control to muddy up this game when needs LOOKS UNBEATABLE. The monologue also states that one needs to be thankful for the poor man's efforts, and sets his morality right next to the political Watergate fiasco then being uncovered.
